Escrita, produzida e estrelada por James Lafferty e Stephen Colletti, mais conhecidos pelos personagens que interpretaram na série “One Tree Hill”, Nathan Scott e Chase Adam, “Everyone Is Doing Great” acompanha Seth e Jeremy, dois atores que fizeram muito sucesso em “Eternal”, uma série de TV sobre vampiros e que, cinco anos após o término da série, contam com o apoio um com o outro, na luta para resgatar sua popularidade e relevância antes conquistada, enquanto encaram os desafios inesperados da vida e do amor, lidando, de forma bem humorada, com a dolorosa fase do amadurecimento.
O piloto foi uma produção independente dos atores e amigos, que decidiram lançar uma campanha para arrecadação de fundos para o projeto a que tanto se dedicaram, pedindo a ajuda dos fãs para darem continuidade à primeira temporada da série.
Após a ótima aceitação do episódio piloto pela crítica, o segundo episódio foi exibido na ATX Television Festival. James Lafferty e Stephen Colletti deixaram um recado especial para os fãs brasileiros, mas além disso, conseguimos bater um papo exclusivo com Ngoc Nguyen (Co-Produtora) e Michelle Lang (Produtora Executiva):
Ngoc Nguyen é uma publicitária de longa data que entrou na produção de cinema e televisão. Ela agora trabalha na interseção de entretenimento, esportes e filantropia, desenvolvendo conteúdo de ponta e campanhas multifacetadas para ajudar marcas globais e influenciadores individuais a causar impacto em vários setores simultaneamente. Como estrategista, Ngoc é capaz de usar suas habilidades como produtora e publicitária para ajudar a mudar a cultura por meio de narrativas criativas.
Atualmente ela é uma das produtoras de “Power On” que é uma série cinematográfica que celebra as mentes jovens e toda a maravilha da tecnologia.
Uma antologia de 5 curtas-metragens, dirigida por atrizes proeminentes que tem como objetivo inspirar mentes jovens para mudar o mundo através dos campos do STEAM, enquanto aborda outras questões importantes como a igualdade, gênero, intimidação e perda e traz figuras importantes como: Julie Bowen, Nikki Reed, Rosario Dawson, Ana Brenda Contreras e Lisa Edelstein. Com tantos anos na indústria, Ngoc disse que seu maior desafio tem sido ser uma das poucas mulheres que atuam nessa mesma área, além disso, uma das poucas asiáticas-americanas, e é ótimo quebrar esses obstáculos e dar oportunidade para diversidades por trás das cenas também. Ela agradeceu muito à cada um dos fãs por todo o suporte que deram para a série e espera que todos gostem. Ngoc foi extraordinária, seu talento e simpatia é muito explícito e ficamos muito contentes de saber mais sobre seus projetos. Em relação ao nosso bate papo sobre Everyone is Doing Great, ela concordou que o que mais surpreenderá as pessoas sobre Everyone is Doing Great será ver o desenvolvimento de James e Stephen como produtores, as pessoas ficarão surpreendidas em ver o quanto eles se dedicaram ao projeto e o quão talentosos eles são por trás das câmeras também.
Quando perguntamos para Ngoc quem é o mais engraçado no set, ela assumiu que todo mundo tem seus diferentes momentos e que Stephen é hilário em muita coisa, mas surpreendentemente, a pessoa mais engraçada em sua opinião é Alexandra Park. Ela conheceu James há alguns anos atrás enquanto fazia outras produções e se envolveu com o projeto logo no episódio Piloto ajudando nas publicidades, mas acabou se interessando e se tornou uma das produtoras da série.
Michelle Lang é uma atriz, produtora e escritora, ficou mais conhecida pelo seu papel como Linda Lee (esposa de Bruce Lee) na série “The Legend of Bruce Lee”, mais recentemente, sua empresa, RBL Studios, está produzindo a série Eveyone Is Doing Great. Michelle escreveu recentemente “A Mermaid’s Guide” (Um guia de sereia).
Um livro vendido pela Amazon, que ensina as crianças sobre os segredos e perigos das águas de uma maneira divertida e didática, os preparando para todos os tipos de natações.
Quando perguntamos para ela o que as pessoas irão se surpreender mais sobre a nova série, ela disse que acha que as pessoas se surpreenderão não somente por James e Stephen interpretarem personagens muito diferentes do que em One Tree Hill, mas por verem eles como criadores de cenas, eles editam e participam de toda a produção, o que é muito especial.
Ao ser perguntada sobre quem é a pessoa mais engraçada em “Everyone is Doing Great” na vida real, Michelle preferiu optar pelos companheiros de cena James e Stephen, para que “todos fiquem felizes” com a resposta, pois eles tem uma química que envolve quem está assistindo. Michelle disse que ama atuar e produzir e não saberia dizer qual ela prefere, pois a combinação dos dois é o que traz uma boa realização, a melhor parte de trabalhar com comédia é a diversão envolvida, é a própria “comédia” por trás das câmeras também.

Written, produced and starring by James Lafferty and Stephen Coletti, best known as Nathan Scott and Chase Adams from One Three Hill, “Everyone is Doing Great” tells the story of Seth and Jeremy, two actors who made a huge success in “Eternal”, a tv show about vampires, and five years after its end, they rely on each other in the fight to rescue their popularity and relevance once achieved, in the meantime they face unexpected challenges in life and love, dealing in a funny way with the pains of growing up.
The pilot episode was an independent production of these two talented actors and friends, who decided to launch a crowdfunding campaign to the project that they dedicated so much, asking fans for help to keep the first season going on.
After the great reception of the pilot from the critics, the second episode was shown at the ATX Television Festival.
At ATX, we had the opportunity to talk to James Lafferty and Sthepen Colletti and they left a special message to the Brazilian fans. We also did an exclusive interview with Ngoc Nguyen, (co producer) and Michelle Lang (executive producer), as shown below:
Ngoc is a longtime studio publicist who fell into producing film and television. She now works at the intersection of entertainment, sports and philanthropy, developing high-end content and multi-faceted campaigns to help global brands and individual influencers make an impact across numerous industries simultaneously. As a Strategist, Ngoc is able to use both of her skillsets as a producer and a publicist to help shift culture through creative storytelling.
She is one of the producers of “Power On”, an anthology of five short films, directed by prominently actress that aims to inspire young minds to change the world using STEAM camps while talking about important questions such as equality, gender, bullying and loss, and bring together important personalities such as: Julie Bowen, Nikki Reed, Rosario Dawson, Ana Brenda Contreras and Lisa Edelstein. With her long experience in the industry, Ngoc told us that her biggest challenge has being one of the few women who works in this field and also one of the few Asian-Americans, but it’s great to break some obstacles and give opportunities to diversity behind the cameras.
She thanked a lot every fan who is giving support to the show and she hopes that everyone enjoys it. Ngoc was extraordinary to us, her talent and sympathy was very explicit and we were really glad to know more about her projects. When we talked about Everyone is Doing Great, she agreed that what is going to surprise the most will be to see the development of James and Stephen as producers, she thinks people will be surprised to see how much they dedicated themselves to this project and how talented they are also behind the cameras.
When we asked Ngoc who was the funniest on set, she admitted that everyone has their different moments and Stephen is hilarious about a lot of things, but surprisingly, the funniest person, in her opinion, is Alexandra Park.
Ngoc met James a few years ago while she was producing other projects and she got involved right away with EDG’s pilot, helping with the publicity, after a few weeks she got interested and became one of the producers on the show.
Michelle Lang is an actress, producer, and writer who is most known for her role as Linda Lee (Bruce Lee’s wife) in the 50 episode of the television series “The Legend of Bruce Lee.” Most recently, Michelle’s production company, RBL Studios, produced Everyone Is Doing Great. Michelle recently wrote “A Mermaid’s Guide”.
A book sold by Amazon that teaches children and their parents about the secrets and dangers of the water in a fun and didactic way, preparing them for a safe swimming.
When we asked her about what is going to surprise the audience about Everyone is Doing Great, she said that people are going to be surprised not only by how James and Stephen play such different characters from the ones of One Three Hill, but also by seeing them as creators of scenes, as they edit and participate in the entire production, which is really special.
When asked about who is the funniest person of Everyone is Doing Great in real life, Michelle chose to opt for the duo James and Stephen, so everyone can be happy with the answer, because they have a chemistry that involves the audience.
Michelle said she loves acting as much as she loves producing, that’s why she couldn’t say which one she prefers, because the combination of both is the real achievement, according to her, the best part of working with comedy is the fun involved and the really “comedy” behind the cameras as well.

Everyone is Doing Great is still in production and there’s no date to be released on tv yet.
