David Chase revelou ao site Deadline alguns detalhes sobre o pr\u00f3logo, intitulado &#8220;The Many Saints of Newark&#8221;, que acompanha a inf\u00e2ncia de Tony Soprano e a tens\u00e3o racial entre a popula\u00e7\u00e3o branca e negra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Em 1967, desencadeados por protestos contra a mis\u00e9ria e desemprego dos negros, civis sa\u00edram as ruas entre 13 e 17 de julho, durante um dos ver\u00f5es mais rigorosos dos EUA, lojas foram destru\u00eddas e saqueadas,  houve confus\u00e3o com a policia, deixando 23 pessoas mortas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O longa acompanha durante os Conflitos de Newark, o pequeno Tony Soprano, filho de um r\u00edgido membro da m\u00e1fia italiana, Johnny Soprano, e da temperamental e controladora L\u00edvia. E como isso influenciou o desequil\u00edbrio emocional de Tony na vida adulta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C\u00e9tico com o filme, Chase teve medo de destruir o legado da s\u00e9rie, mas amadureceu a ideia por anos. &#8220;Eu  fui contra [o filme] por um longo tempo e ainda estou muito preocupado com isso, mas me interessei por Newark, de onde meus pais vieram e onde  ocorreram os tumultos&#8221;, disse ele.  &#8220;Eu estava apenas interessado em todo o motim de Newark. Comecei a pensar nesses eventos e no crime organizado, e me interessei em misturar esses dois elementos\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apenas Alessandro Nivola est\u00e1 confirmado no elenco, ele interpreta Dickie Moltisanti, o tio de Tony Soprano. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fam\u00edlia Soprano foi exibida entre 1999 e 2007 e ganhou 21 Emmys.
