Nesta edição de número 70 do evento, o destaque fica para a Netflix, que ao todo, conquistou 112 indicações, superando a HBO, líder de indicações há 18 anos, este ano ficou para trás com 108, seguido do canal NBC, com 78. Quando se trata de séries, Game of Thrones lidera com 22 indicações e Westworld com 21.
A cerimônia acontece no dia 17 de setembro, as 22 horas no canal pago TNT.
