A new psychological thriller series coming to Apple TV+: ‘Servant’

During the New York Comic Con this weekend, the director M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense) announced details about the psychological thriller “Servant,” will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on Thursday, November 28.
The thriller follows a couple in Philadelphia (played by Lauren Ambrose and Toby Kebbell) deals with the lost of a newborn children. Part of the therapy consists in buying an artificial baby and they hire a nanny (Nell Tiger Free) to take care of the baby. Strange things start to happen when the nanny enters in the life of the couple. The cast also includes Rupert Grint (Harry Potter).

Academy Award-nominated Executive Producer M. Night Shyamalan (Glass, Split, The Sixth Sense) directs along with BAFTA-nominated Executive Producer and Writer Tony Basgallop, who created the series. The celebrated cast of “Servant” includes Lauren Ambrose (“Six Feet Under”), Toby Kebbell (Kong: Skull Island, Fantastic Four, “Black Mirror”), Nell Tiger Free (“Game of Thrones”), Rupert Grint (Harry Potter franchise, Snatch).
Servant marks the debut of Shyamalan in the television, and the director said that there’s already a defined number of episodes that the creativity team needs to tell the whole story. The goal is to produce those 60 episodes through six years. Shyamalan didn’t say if Apple committed with six seasons, but he said about wanting to work with a technology giant, specially, instead of a network or a streaming service like Netflix.

The trailer opens with a couple opening their apartment door to greet their new nanny (Free), a woman named Leanne, whom Sean (Kebbell) and Dorothy (Ambrose) have hired to take care of their child. But very, very strange things happen:
